SCORING 1) Each player plays every other player, one match of 5 games. Where there are 5 or more players, the number of games per match shall be 3. All games must be played, so the score must reflect the total of games played. Whoever wins the greater number of games is the match winner. 2) The number of balls remaining on the table at the conclusion of each game, are counted as points for the winner; the total of which is recorded in brackets, next to the number of games won. This provides a more detailed score of how convincingly those games were won. NOTE: In the event that a player defaults by sinking the black ball prematurely (before sinking all of his/her own balls) first (RULE 6): IF B defaults by sinking the black while B has 3 balls on the table and A has 4 on the table; THEN A counts all the balls left on the table by B (3); AND B forfeits (does not count) the balls left on the table by A. 3) The total number of games won by each player are entered into blocks of the same colour, in the (vertical) column corresponding to the player. So, you enter your score under your name (column) against your opponent (row). Your opponent will do the same. You also enter (in brackets) the total number of balls left on the table, for the games you won. 4) The table of scores will be recorded as follows:
In this example: if A loses 2-3 to B, then A enters 2 under their name (column) against row B (cell AB) and B enters 3 under their name (column) against row A (cell BA). And A enters (3) as the number of balls left on the table by B; and B enters (0) for the number of balls left by A ('black ball games'). So, for the above example: A wins 4/5 matches with a total of 15/25 games and 23 balls on the table. B wins 4/5 matches with a total of 15/25 games and 20 balls on the table. C wins 2/5 matches with a total of 12/25 games and 29 balls on the table. D wins 2/5 matches with a total of 11/25 games and 13 balls on the table. E wins 2/5 matches with a total of 12/25 games and 19 balls on the table. F wins 1/5 matches with a total of 10/25 games and 20 balls on the table. Determination of results:
