And in the TOTALS row at the bottom, calculates and displays the TOTAL Matches Won, Lost, Drawn, Games Won, Games Lost, Balls Won, Balls Lost; as well as the Game Difference (Total Games Won - Total Games Lost) and Ball Difference (Total Balls Won - Total Balls Lost).

It also calculates and displays your AVERAGES as a percentage (%).

  7. Leagues : SOCIAL & CHAMPIONS - what's the difference?

Social league matches are played at any time between any two members. You can play any number of games in a match.

Members Register their own match results and update their ranking in the Social League Table.

The Social League Table lists an entry for each member, which is the 'TOTALS' row from the members' 'My Games' page.

If you do not 'Update (S) League Table' from 'My Games', your ranking in the Social League Table will not be updated.

Champions league matches are organised, quarterly tournaments (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring), which any member can enter.

At a champions league tournament, every member plays every other member the same number of games (usually 3 or 5).

Results of tournament matches are recorded and registered by the Administrator.

The Champions League Table is calculated in exactly the same way as the Social League Table, from the accumulated results of Champion League matches (tournaments).

  8. How are the rankings calculated?

Both the Social and Champions League rankings are a list of the 'TOTALS' row from each member's 'My Games'.

The league ranking is then ordered by:
    a) The largest percentage of Matches Won ((Matches Won / Matches Played) x100)
    b) The largest Game Difference.
    b) The largest Ball Difference.

So, if two members have won the same percentage of matches, then they will be ranked by their Game Difference.

And if two members have won the same percentage of matches AND the same Game Difference, they will be ranked by their Ball Difference.

  9. Why do we count the balls left on the table?

If a match is 5 games and you win 4-1, it looks like you won easily - the Game Difference is 3. But if every game was a 'black ball game' (all other balls sunk), the ball difference is 0, which then shows that every game was very close and the match was not that easily won.

If two members have won the same percentage of matches, they will be ranked by the Game Difference.

If two members have the same Game Difference, they will be ranked by the Ball Difference.

This provides more 'granular' detail/analysis and a better reflection of performance.

Using the accumulated match results over a period of time, also reflects consistency of performance.
